This hotel was perfectly located in ville nouvelle, and only a short taxi ride from the Medina. I found the Reception to be cordial and helpful. It is ideally located on one of the main boulevards, with restraunts and cafes close by. It was very practical, "no frills" for someone who is on a budget.

I stayed at De La Paix in December, 2005. Convenient location. Close to train station. Located in the Ville Nouvelle part of Fes. About 1-1/2 mile from Fes El-Bali. Located on a very busy street with vendors, restaurants, cafes, etc. I would definitely recommend an Official Guide for the central market.Definitely try the restaurant. The food and service was great. Please try the Bastilla. Very good. The rooms was clean, albeit a bit small (I had the single room). I would request a room NOT street side (as the hotel is located on a very busy street.Good deal for the money. I recommend it and will visit again when in Fes.

Nice place right in the centre of the New Town. Basic large room with A/C and large bathroom - fantastic value for money. There was a television on the wall, but no sockets in the wall into which to plug it in! Nice breakfast with shaded terrace at the back. The owner (like everyone in Fes) strongly forces you to take a guided tour of the old town with his cousin "he will give you good price" just ignore him you can do it without getting lost I did!There is also a restaurant a couple of minutes walk away that also serves alcohol in a faux Amerian-log-cabin!
